So, I am a slacker Mom...

I have totally been slacking off on my posting of pictures and things of that nature. That however is not why I am such a slacker of a mom. As Easter started to roll around I debated what I should do for Remy to make this Easter special for him. He was 14 months old and I basically just decided that since he was so small he wouldn't really care about an Easter Egg hunt. I didn't even buy him an Easter egg Basket. Luckily for me, my sister-in-laws always have an Easter Egg Hunt and invited us. Remy really liked it. I should have known he would with his vast experience of loading and dumping things in and out of his baskets at home.
Here are all of the neices and nephews all ready to go and hunt for some eggs. They were so excited and were even good at helping Remy make sure that he had some eggs.
Shaun hid some eggs special for Remy so he could find them. It was really cold outside but Remy didn't seem to mind. He was excited to pick up the eggs. As long as he had one in each hand he was a happy camper.
Here is Shaun and Remy finding eggs.
That sneaky Easter bunny even hid some in the drain. Remy thought it was so funny to get them in and out of the drain pipe.
Here Remy is enjoying his spoils inside. He didn't get to eat any of the candy but he loved looking through the basket and carrying around his little eggs. Chappy also loved the eggs, not that he got to eat any candy but Remy would put them out for Chappy to bite and Chappy would happily bite the eggs in half until they popped into two pieces.
We also had a few days of warm weather, before the cold blistery weather came though. Remy loves to be outside. He cries and cries when we have to come in. Here he is at Grandma Westergards in the swing. He was giggling and had so much fun.
We also went for a walk. You can see Remy and his stylin glasses, He is such a nerd he was mesmerized while we were walking and his mouth was hanging open. When we stopped at Angie's house she came out to talk to us and would try to close his mouth for him since it was hanging open. It wouldn't close it would just flop right back open.
Remy also got to hang out with Granny and Great Granny.

And once again, like father like son. Here are Shaun and Remy watching the NFL draft. Very serious business as you have noticed. Yeah for Tim Tebow!!

Pants on the ground and other randomness

Caution Random thought: The nice thing about cooking a turkey is the little thermometer that comes in them that pops up when it is done. Remy has adopted this philosophy in life and when he is ready to get out of bed he has come up with his own timer. The past few mornings I have been putting Remy in some "big boy" jammies meaning they are a two piece rather than one piecer. He is so funny because I will go into his room in the morning and I know he is ready to get out of bed because his pants will be thrown overboard and on the ground. What can I say, he's a rebel.

I am also becoming one of "those" parents who likes the idea of a zip-a-babe or baby leash. Seriously, the kid runs around so fast that I can't keep ahold of him. While at Walmart the other day I saw this lovely baby harness that doubles as a lion backpack. Cute isn't it. I immediately knew this was the harness for Remy because he loves anything soft and cuddly. So I have decided that he would love this and to facilitate his love for his harness I have been putting it on backwards. He really does like it because he can walk around for a minute, hug the lion and keep walking picking up various things. He realizes the convenience of it and just loves it.

I have always loved going for bike rides so I have been excited for the day when Remy could come with me. I decided that it was time to purchase a bike trailer to pull behind my bike. Remy loves it.
